For this renovation, I reimagined the entire home, expanding the living space to include an extended backyard. The project began with a thoughtful analysis of my client's needs: a couple who desired a spacious, modern home with a minimum of one guest room and a larger entertainment area for hosting gatherings, complete with a dedicated bar.

The design direction was rooted in a dark, moody color palette with a striking touch of Chartreuse. To create a sense of balance, I integrated rich tones like khaki, dark red, greens, and chocolate brown, while introducing lighter textures in the furniture and materials. The goal was to harmonize the moodiness of the walls with an abundance of natural light, ensuring the space felt both inviting and dramatic.

Drawing inspiration from my client's South African heritage, I blended modern design with cultural elements, using materials like wood, marble, glass, and metal to enhance the overall aesthetic. Every selection, from materials to accessories, was carefully curated to create a home that is sophisticated, functional, and infused with personality.
